size icon Choosing the Correct Kit Size

Selecting the correct force rating is essential for proper lifting performance. Before ordering, compare your existing gas spring’s length and force rating with the available options.

Keep the following points in mind:

  • Confirm the extended length of your original spring matches 17.2".
  • Match the force rating to the load requirements of the hatch, lid, or platform being supported — where possible, match the replacement to the original spring’s rating.
  • Confirm your existing mounting hardware and ball studs are compatible before ordering.
  • This is a replacement gas spring only. It installs into a system that already has compatible mounting hardware.

RV Bedlift Kits FAQs

Will this fit my existing mounting hardware?

Yes, it works with any system using 10mm ball studs, including those originally built for Easy Lift, Master Lift, ML, Suspa, or Stabilus springs. No bracket modification is required.

Is this sold as a single unit or a pair?

Each unit is sold individually. Most applications use two springs (one per side); confirm the quantity you need based on your system before ordering.

How do the three force ratings differ?

The numerical suffix (40, 60, 80) indicates relative lifting force, with higher values corresponding to greater load capacity. Choosing the correct rating depends on the weight of the hatch, lid, or platform being supported.

How do I identify the correct replacement if the original spring is unlabeled?

Measure the fully extended length of the original unit. If the force rating is unknown, contact us with the application and approximate load for assistance.

Is this suitable for marine or outdoor use?

Yes. Its corrosion-resistant coating holds up well in RV, marine, and other weather-exposed applications.
