Hatchlift Products, a New Mexico based company which specializes in high-quality struts for compartment doors and mattress platforms, has developed a safety handle called Stake-Hand that lends a helping “hand” when climbing in and out of a pickup bed and also works great for Tailgating to display your favorite team's banner. Its simplicity personified. 

Capture plate and base are fixed in place; handle is removable for storage. Fold-down bumper step sold separately.
